Saint Joseph County Spay Neuter Assistance Program, Inc., a not for profit organization, will assist low income pet owners with spay/neuter surgeries and educate the community on pet overpopulation, the value of pet sterilization, and responsible pet ownership.
• To educate the pet owning public on animal overpopulation, the benefits of spay/neuter, proper pet care, and animal behavior issues.
• To provide financial assistance to pet owners who cannot afford the spay/neuter surgery.
• To reduce the number of unwanted dogs and cats in our community (over 11,000 animals entered St. Joe County shelters in 2007).
• To develop a community wide program where local shelters and veterinarians can work together.
